By connecting a Peltier effect heat pump to a direct voltage source, it acts as a heat pump and can be used for heating and cooling. The heat pump uses the Peltier effect. Common applications: Cooling/heating of laser components, fibre optics, semi-conductors, laboratory instruments, medical equipment, electronic chassis, floppy disks and hard disks, food and drinks, and correct installation is important . Installation is usually mechanical, between a heat exchanger and the cooled object. Thermal grease is applied to both sides of the heat pump., Note! Proper cooling of the hot side is important. The maximum temperature at the hot side is 80 °CFor high temperature heat pumps the maximum temperature is 150 °C. |
